Professional Year Program
A professional year program is a bridge between the full-time study program and professional workplace knowledge for international students who graduated from a University in Australia. This program prepares you for the highly competitive job market through proper training and coaching so that you can get employment in your desired occupation anywhere in Australia.
This program is about 44-52 weeks or 10-12 months including a 12-week internship at an appropriate host company which is offered in the areas of accounting, computer science, and engineering and their related occupations. On successful completion, an international student can also get 5 points on the department of immigration and border protection (DIBP) points test when applying for a Skilled independent subclass 189 visa.

Professional Year Program for Accountants
The accounting professional year program was developed by CPA Australia, the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA), and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). It was designed for international students who have an Australian accounting degree so that they can get an awareness of Australian work ethics, culture, and principles.
Cost and duration
It is offered in different institutes across Australia which cost around AUD 6000-13000 for 44-week (minimum) including 32-week training in-class and 12-week internship placement at a reputable institute
Eligibility
- The candidate must be an international student and have obtained a minimum of 2 years of degree in the accounting-related field in Australia.
- Age should be of 18-45 years.
- The candidate must hold a Skilled Graduate Visa 485 or be waiting to have their 485 visa approval.
- You must also have at least 12 months remaining on your visa from the date the program starts.
- Candidate must have a minimum of an overall 6.0 in IELTS with a minimum score of 6 in each band or a minimum of 50 points in PTE
- provide a valid skills assessment from a professional accounting association or a skills assessment from (CPA, CA, IPA)

ACS Professional Year Program
Australian Computer Society (ACS) developed this program for international IT students from an Australian university to makes an international candidate ready for the Australian job market in the ICT profession. Through this program, the candidate gets hands-on practical and fundamental training for Australian industries related to ICT occupations.

It is offered in different institutes across Australia which cost around AUD 12,930 – 13,280 for 44-week (minimum) including 32-week training in-class and 12-week internship placement at a reputable workplace or industry

- The candidate must be an international student and have obtained a minimum of 2 years of degree in Information Technology related field in Australia.
- Age should be of 18-45 years.
- Candidate must hold a Skilled Graduate Visa 485 or be waiting to have their 485 visa approval or bridging visa to the graduate visa.
- You must also have at least 12 months remaining on your visa from the date the program starts.
- The candidate must have a minimum of an overall 6.0 in IELTS with a minimum score of 6 in each band or a minimum of 50 points in PTE

Professional Year Program for Engineers
This professional year program is developed by Engineers Australia (EA). This program is for international students who are graduates from an Australian university and this program is solely focused on preparing international engineering graduates for the job market in Australia.
Cost and duration
This is accumulative 44-week fundamental training in the classroom and a 12-week internship in industry, where you can earn valuable skills and knowledge related to your desired field.
Eligibility
The candidate must be an international student and have obtained a degree at the level of Technologist or Professional Engineering completed within 4 years of the date of application with a minimum of 2 years of study duration in the engineering-related field in Australia.
The degree must qualify as an Engineering course (Broad and Narrow Fields) under the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
Age should be of 18-45 years.
Candidate must hold
- Â Â Â a Skilled Graduate Visa 485 or
- Â Â Â be waiting to have their 485 visa approval or
- Â Â Â bridging visa, A or B to the graduate visa or
- Â Â Â Skilled Recognised Graduate 476 visa or
- Â Â Â Secondary visa holder of another visa (457/ENS/RSMS/Labour Agreement)
